1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information laCamera collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to run the app.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and password (handled securely by Firebase Authentication). Profile information: your name, role, skills, bio and profile photo. Content: the videos you link, along with captions, comments and likes. Messages: the direct messages you send to other members. Limited diagnostic information needed to keep the app working.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate laCamera, to show your profile and content to other members, to enable messaging, to keep the community safe (including reviewing reports and enforcing our rules), and to communicate with you about your account.

4. Where your information is stored

laCamera uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) to store data, and videos are hosted on the third party service you link (such as Vimeo). Your information may be processed on Google’s servers.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that power the app (such as Google Firebase), with other members as part of how the app works (for example your public profile and posts), and where required by law.

6. Data retention and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account disables your login and hides your content from the app. Please note that we may retain your information after deletion for legitimate business, security, legal and safety purposes, including preventing abuse. Contact us if you would like your retained data removed, and we will honour applicable legal requirements.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. You can update most details in the app, delete your account from Settings, or contact us for other requests.

8. Children

laCamera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you within the app.
